Welcome to the House at One Sixth

Latest Diorama Finds

I'm a huge garage sale aficionado and I stop into almost any thrift store I see because that is mostly where I find the sort of small objects I need to build the dioramas.  This page is dedicated to sharing the wonderful things I find and my ideas for what to do with them.  I'm hoping this will encourage the visitors to my site to go out and look for themselves.  Think outside the box.  Look for things that spark your imagination and creativity.  Have fun!

Went to garage sales again.

Got the round oriental shelving unit for $8.  I don't know what I'll do with it.  The dragon and the globe were 10 cents each.  The dog was a quarter.  Momoko's new outfit was $1 and the planter was 50 cents.  The two vases I bought a couple of weeks ago, also the bean bag chair- all garage sale finds!  I bought two vintage "rugs," for two dollars each.  I need to trim the fringe on the tan one.  It looks kind of yellow in the photo.

Sorry about the blurriness.  No matter what I did, the $%#@! auto focus kept focusing on the dog!

Love how the light hits this planter.

4/20/11- Don't know if you can see the sign on the house, but it was all for $10, including the van!!  Most will go on e-bay, a few things will stay with me.

This door (which is really a photo album) is one I had been looking for for a long time.  I got it t Goodwill for $2.99.  I will probably remove the wreath and put on one that looks more realisitic.  It also needs a door knob and I may darken the window panes, but overall, I love it!

I also picked up this screen/window at Goodwill.  It was $1.90.  I can think of lots of things to do with this!

I found this lovey little drum table as well. I already had one of these, but the top was in really bad shape. The candelabra. which I bought on vacation, is a little large for this table, but looks grand on the dolls' dining room table.

The little sink, sitting on the Barbie's bedside table (which needs to be painted) is really a paper clip holder.  Sorry that one pic is slightly out of focus.
