Diorama: The Black and White Room
This is the completed room. The pictures are all slightly out of focus because I had the macro setting on the camera turned on accidentally.
The main idea behind this room, besides the color scheme of black, white and gray with touches of red and olive green, was the curves. I decided to reflect the curves over and over in the chaise lounge, the staircase, the grand piano, the silver vases, the shelves, and even in the art- the black crane and the framed picture of the curving staircase.

This was the first try. You can see the changes that were made in the position of the furniture and the art work. I liked the large hand sculpture, but my daughters and my friend Mary vetoed it, so I ended up with the crane which added height and adds to the curve theme. The walls went from white to light gray in the final version
